The pendant has been developed to provide a significant level of functionality, remotely from the controller. This Functionality includes:-

• Integral red single channel latching Emergency STOP switch
  
  
• Pressure sensitive jog keys for up to 6 axes
  
  
• Pulse wheel for precise machine axis positioning
  
  
• Ability to select fast, medium or slow jogging
  
  
• Ability to incrementally jog an axis by 1 of 3 predifined increment distances
  
  
• Job Start, Stop and Abort buttons
  
  
• Tool Setting
  
  
• Set Home & Go Home buttons
  
  
• Output 1 and Output 2 buttons to toggle the status of the first 2 system outputs
  
  
• Feedrate override potentiometer, Feed hold to 150% of programmed feed
  
  

  In addition to the buttons there are a number of LEDs that show the current mode of operation as well as the actual status of outputs 1 & 2.

  The handpad takes its power supply from the motion controller and has a power LED indicating when it is active. It is connected through a shielded cable to a 'handpad' port on the AMC and uses inputs 3 & 4.
  
  

  Handpad accessories

  The Pendant is encased in a standard toughened plastic enclosure. For a small additional cost we can supply a hook set with optional magnet to allow ease of locating and storing the handpad. The magnet is very strong and easily supports the weight of the unit and attached cabling.
  
  

  The hook is of strong plastic design for hanging from a cross bar or loop of up to 18mm in diameter. The magnet/hook combination is securely attached with three screws to the back of the handpad and hinges neatly away into the unit maintaining the ease of handling and good tactile feel of the handpad.
